honoring my passions in art, service, and knowledge, I work to increase access to media literacy and arts education for my community.
I am a fourth-generation resident of North Lawndale. in the early-1950s my great-grandparents migrated from rural Arkansas to the westside of Chicago and bought the house that my family still owns and lives in. my roots on the westside of Chicago have set the foundation for every aspect of my existence, from the very basic to the most radical facets of myself. these roots pervade and bolster each and every intention behind the work I do to support my community and to amplify the humanity of my people.
crislincarnated elevates the idea that my existence in this lifetime, like everything else, is temporary. it reminds me that I am unique and I am uniquely tied to my spiritual destiny. my work and my art are incarnations of my very being. moreover, I am the incarnation of my ancestors' wildest dreams and most impassioned prayers. crislincarnated is more than an @ or an online identity; it is a reminder of my commitment to living (online and otherwise) as intentionally and as positively as possible, so that I may make as great of an impact as I can during this lifetime while manifesting the continuation of greatness in the next.
